In addition to shows produced for the network, DSN distributes your content across multiple Connected Television platforms to tens of millions of viewers globally via Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Sony and Samsung Smart TV, and many more, all from one place. We also offer advanced distribution to Netflix, Hulu, Direct TV and Amazon Prime/Instant.
DSN is a fast and easy way to earn money from your finished film, TV show or series!
How It Works.
You start by submitting your film or TV show to DSN. There is a $997 registration and account set-up fee for all new accounts. This fee is per account, NOT per submission — and entitles you to submit up to 100 submissions per year, with guaranteed approval (see below).
ALL SUBMISSIONS are immediately accepted and approved provided they meet our modest Submission Guidelines. Once your film or TV Show is accepted and approved, it is immediately encoded and uploaded to our distribution inventory.
From there, WE do the rest…
All submissions immediately appear on our DSN channel, available on Roku and other popular Connected TV devices, reaching hundreds of millions of potential viewers worldwide.
Then, if they qualify, WE begin the process of distributing your content to other platforms, like Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, Amazon and more. We do it ALL, so you don’t have to!
DSN Channel Distribution.
On the DSN channel, your film is “freely” distributed to millions of viewers who “pay” for it by watching regular TV commercials, just like they’re used to with traditional television. Because these ads are served via digital platform, we have the ability to track each and every ad view, unlike traditional television where it’s really a guesstimate as to how many people are actually watching. This is called AVOD (or “Advertising Video On Demand.”)
DSN pays on a sliding scale for the commercials we display, and whatever we’re paid, we split 80/20 with YOU. That means, if we earn $100 on the ads displayed during your film, you get $80 of it. This is comparable pay to other major platforms. It also allows you to earn EVERY TIME a viewer streams your film, which can equate to much more than you would earn with VOD renting or purchases.
Major Platform Distribution.
Through our distribution partner, (and provided it qualifies), we then act as your agent to “shop” your content to the major platforms—Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Crackle, etc.—as well as to major networks and smaller, niche channels and platforms pertinent to your film’s genre. (i.e. Docurama, Gaia, et al.) And again, we work on an 80/20 split in YOUR favor.
We will immediately notify you of every platform that accepts your film for distribution. We will then negotiate the best deal for you, on your behalf, as your agent, and with your final approval.
Every distribution outlet we secure ultimately means more revenue for YOU and us, so we have a vested interest in getting your film out to as many platforms as possible!
Monthly Reports, Quarterly Royalties
We track and report total views and revenue across ALL PLATFORMS on a monthly basis. Reports are sent via email around the 15th of the month for the prior month. We include monthly and yaer-to-date reporting, and we issue payments quarterly (that’s every 3 months), on or about Jan 15th, April 15th, July 15th, and Oct 15th. Payments are issued via PayPal or bank wire transfer. (There is a $25 fee for bank wires.) Payout minimum is $100.00.
Simple Contract.
Our Distribution Agreement is simple and straightforward. You grant us a non-exclusive license for one year to distribute your content via DSN Channel and to shop it to as many digital and “connected” platforms as possible. You can cancel our agreement at any time, however, we are still paid for any and all distribution we secure for you prior to cancellation. (That’s only fair.)
Again, everything we do is on an 80/20 revenue split—in YOUR favor.
